Alex has over 20 years of professional experience in working with wood. He has been on a journey from joinery to fine furniture through his passion for the art of working with wood. From a young age Alex could be found crafting wood in his father's garage and early in his school life he knew he wanted to be involved in design and craft. On leaving school he was fortunate enough to get a traditional 4 year apprenticeship with a well respected Oxford joinery company. Whilst working with them he studied bench joinery at Oxford College for 3 years and then furthered his studied at Reading College of Art and Design for 2 years and gained a few awards along the way. After 12 years the time had come for him to set up his own business, and five years on he runs a well equipped workshop turning out both furniture and architectural joinery.
